If I ruled the Oscars (insert idea here)

People are always asking me to write more often, well here you go, I looked up some information on ‘Cate Blanchett’.

Well, I just stunk up the joint with my Oscar predictions this year. Eleven out of 24. Roger Ebert nailed nine of the top 13, one more than I did. Richard Roeper across the street got 15 out of 24. Scoundrel! If only Id checked in with my actor pal Jason Wingreen, Id have gone 12 for 24 and been able to live with myself one more day. Wingreens 87, a very fine actor, sharp as a tack and, since the early 1960s, an Oscar voter. We got to know each other when I lived in Los Angeles. Back in th

Congratulations, Justin's Penis!: The Tara Years

Divided State of America

This morning I used Yahoo! to find more information on ‘Elizabeth Wurtzel’.. And this is one of the first results I found:

In todays LA Times, Elizabeth Wurtzel (yes, THAT Elizabeth Wurtzel) has a column about the promise of feminism. Yes, shes a little, shall we say, unhinged. You have to be somewhat crazy to write an entire book about your antidepressant of choice. However, being the SHRILL FEMINAZI that I am, some of what she wrote rang true. Walk onto the trading floor of any of the hedge funds that crowd the Lever House building in Manhattan and hardly a female face will be seen who is not a secretary or an

"We just talked for hours about everything." — Jason, 'Nice Imagination'

Last night I used Technorati to find more info on ‘Elizabeth Mcgovern’.. And this is one of the many results I found:

Film Jake Paltrow’s new film The Good Night hasn’t exactly been greeted with great reviews despite the cast (Freeman! Pegg! Cruz! Paltrow! DeVito!) but frankly, its been giving me nightmares because the synopsis sounds, well, a bit familiar. In the late nineties, before I discovered blogging, my creative energy was ploughed into writing scripts, all kinds of things, although admittedly mostly science fiction which was a real no-no in those days. In the midst of that, Channel 4 ran a competition

Stop caring about this. NOW.

This morning I used Live search to find more information on ‘Elizabeth Ray’.. And this is one of the many results I found:

Okay, I’m sorry. I don’t care a whit about this girl or these photos, but I DO care about people caring. That makes no sense. I don’t care. This is so f’ing stupid. Number one, the picture’s not THAT bad. Right? I mean, my God. Simmer down, Elizabeth Proctor. … And is it kinda creepy that Billy Ray and his trailer-trash-makes-good wife allowed Miley to do this photoshoot? Definitely….

Gracie

Last night while Andy was out, I watched the movie Gracie which is loosely based on Elizabeth Shues childhood and her fighting for womans rights in the 70s. (You know the babysitter from Adventures in Babysittinggreat movie, I think i need to add that to my collection) The story starts out sad, you know its going to be sad. There is a terrible tragedy in her family which forces her to fight for her right to play on the boys team. She is also fighting for place in her family, in her fa
