9/11 feature film Severe Visibility Nominated Best North American film in Asia
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) February 4, 2008 -- The 9/11 political drama, Severe Visibility, was nominated Best North American film at the Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival in Malaysia. The prestigious red-carpet event, which was held in November/December 2007 in the Asian capital city, was represented by some of the finest filmmakers from every continent in the world. Paul Cross, the director and star of Severe Visibility was there to represent his film with producing partner, Marianne Quinn. "When I saw the other films that we were competing with I was overwhelmed by the incredible quality of filmmaking that we were up against," Cross said. "Not only were these high budget films but the stories and messages that they were conveying were compelling and important on the world stage. It was a tremendous honor to be in their company and on the same screen."
Severe Visibility, proposes that an American Airlines 757 did not hit the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 and that the official government report is a deception. "Asian audiences were not surprised by what the film is implying. In fact, in Asia, as well as in Europe, this film and what it is saying has not been a revelation to anyone. What makes the US government's official explanation of the event at the Pentagon that day in September 2001 so feeble is the footage that the Pentagon released from its own security camera shows no sign of a 757. "I guess," Cross goes on to say, "they were banking on the theory that the bigger the lie is the more willing people are to believe it. However in this case I think they seriously underestimated a very lager percentage of the world's population and their intelligence level."
After playing on screens on three continents, Severe Visibility seems to be finding its own audience of filmgoers who are not only looking for powerful entertainment but are also seeking some sort of logical explanation regarding one of history's most horrific events. Perhaps Severe Visibility is providing that.
